Our fully trained and experienced practice nurses, on top of their normal nursing duties, also provide the following services: health checks, cervical smears, childhood/travel immunisations, ear syringing and routine blood tests. To see one of the practice nurses, simply make an appointment at reception.


Nurse Katharine Austin

Lead Nurse 

Katharine joined the practice in March 1993. Her specialist interest is diabetes. Katharine is also a Non-Medical Prescriber which means she is qualified to prescribe all medications.

Nurse Pippa Marrow

Practice Nurse

Pippa joined the practice in September 2007. Her specialist interests include asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 

Nurse Dixsa Purgas-O'Sullivan

Practice Nurse

Dixsa joined the Culverhay team in 2017.

Healthcare Assistants

Lesley Hall


Lesley joined in March 2011. Her primary role is to take blood (phlebotomy) and blood pressures, and provide general health checks for those in the 40 - 75 age bracket. She also provides advice to those wishing to stop smoking.
