Why GPs cannot treat dental abscesses
GPs are not trained in dental procedures and cannot offer the treatment required to eliminate the infection source. Antibiotics may temporarily reduce symptoms, but they do not fix the underlying dental problem, and delaying dental care can increase the risk of complications.
